With RDC around the corner, we’re thrilled to provide an update on our recent progress, offer a preview of what’s on the horizon, and introduce new additions to our Creator Roadmap. We’re excited to share some other really cool announcements at RDC, but we hope this will be a great appetizer.

Performance and Quality

We’re committed to making Studio even more stable and productive. To achieve this, we’re rebuilding Studio’s Explorer, toolbars, and Asset Manager to improve their scalability for large places, provide customization options to fit your preferences, and boost their overall performance.

Thanks to your feedback, we’ve also addressed over 1400 bugs since our last update, with many identified through your reports. Please keep them coming.

We’ve seen your feedback on the new Studio experience, we’re taking your suggestions seriously, and will share a full update soon. As a preview: we’re revamping the default toolbar and introducing new, more compact toolbar options.

Supercharging Creator Creativity

Our goal is to build tools that spark new ideas, open up new opportunities, and help you find inspiration to build experiences in your favorite genres. Last month, we launched the Licenses catalog in Creator Hub, where you have the opportunity to build experiences based on some of the biggest IPs – from Twilight and Squid Game to Saw, and much more. We can’t wait to see the creative ways you bring these iconic IPs to Roblox.

In Studio, we’ve also introduced new ways to style and manage your UI with UI Styling, introduced style controls for the Texture Generator, launched Avatar Settings to better manage player hitboxes in your experiences, and much more.

Editing Avatar Settings in Studio

A New Wave of Creation for Players In Experiences

Avatar Auto Setup now works in-experience and in Studio for accessories and clothing. By extending this capability to experiences, we’re making avatar creation easier and enabling rich, user-driven avatar customization experiences, allowing people to quickly turn static assets into rigged and Roblox-ready avatars.

With Cube 3D, we’ve been focusing on improving the quality of what it generates and providing you more control over the size, as well as the ability to blend different concepts and styles of assets. We think this will be a great tool for new creators in Studio who are just learning to create and for experienced creators to prototype and grey box.

Improving Creator Collaboration

We launched Comments in Studio earlier this year, and you’ve already made over 1.3 million comments. To give you more control, we introduced new experience-level permissions that let you choose who can edit, publish, play, or view analytics for individual experiences. We’re also continuing to improve asset sharing and privacy to make it easier to share and control access to assets that you own. Working together in real-time is one of the many ways that Roblox is unique in game creation, and it’s why we’ll continue to invest in improving these tools.

Separating the Signal from the Noise with Analytics

Reviewing metrics and understanding how changes affect players is important for figuring out what works and what doesn’t. What sets Roblox apart is the amount of insights available for every game out of the box. This is why we introduced Analytics insight reports, hourly custom event analytics, and an expanded two-year data lookback window, making it even easier to understand and act on trends by the numbers and player feedback.

Our analytics insight reports include both metric and player feedback summaries

One more thing…

And before we move on to what’s ahead, we can’t help but mention that ‘Oof’ is back and once again the default sound for when player characters meet an unfortunate fate.

Upcoming roadmap Click here to view the upcoming roadmap!

We’ve been hard at work building the 200+ items currently on the roadmap. Some of what we highlighted here in our last update is still in active development. We’re planning to release Custom Matchmaking to all experiences soon, and ensuring that the feedback we’ve received during our beta is integrated. Server Authority is also entering its final stages of development, and we can’t wait to get this in your hands.

Outside of that, here are some other highlights on the near-term horizon:

Studio Luau File Sync: Use third-party IDEs in Studio. (Late 2025)

Configs: Dynamically update experience settings or content from Creator Hub or Studio without requiring a new update or deployment. (Late 2025)

OpenCloud Developer Product Management APIs: Manage DeveloperProducts and virtual economy resources within your existing workflow. (Late 2025)

Speech-to-Text API: Convert users’ speech to text in real time. (Late 2025)

Revamped Experience Updates: View localization, scheduling, and audience targeting in the “Game Updates” page in Creator Hub. (Late 2025)

Sell Models on Creator Store: List assets for sale with USD on the Creator Store. (Late 2025)

While we do expect to add more items after RDC, here are the 18 additions that are coming soon:

Create however you want Robust engine capabilities provide creative freedom

ViewportDisplaySize API (Mid 2025): Queries categories of the physical size of the screen Roblox is running on. This brings us closer toward developing universally, where developers build for different inputs and form factors rather than specific platforms for UI/UX.

Improvements to Gamepad Directional UI Selection (Mid 2025): Major improvements to default Gamepad Directional UI Selection so players can navigate all UIs using a Gamepad without developer lift.

Easy creation, optimized for your ideal workflows

UIStroke Improvements: Scaling, Offsets, and More (Mid 2025): Improvements to UIStroke, including supporting scaling thickness, custom border alignment, and unlimited strokes.

Try Cloud APIs in Creator Hub Docs (Late 2025): Replaces the legacy API sites’ ‘Try It Out’ feature in Creator Hub, with expanded endpoint access and functionality.

Improved API Key Experience (Late 2025): Improves API keys to make them more intuitive for teams. We’re making it easier to choose scopes, use wildcards for resource access, and improve the API interface on Creator Hub.

Windows Handheld Studio emulator (Late 2025): Helps you test your experiences input, UI, and more on the new Windows handheld.

Cloud creation improves collaboration and reliability

Notifications for Comments Activity in Studio (Late 2025): Notify other creators when they’re tagged.

One-click Join for Team Create (Late 2025): Share a link that collaborators can click to join Team Create sessions.

Generative AI accelerates creation

MCP Assistant (Late 2025): Assistant integrates MCP (Model Context Protocol) as a follow to our original open source Studio MCP server announcement earlier this year and will be able to connect to 3rd party tools and programs that are also using MCP.

Benefit from a growing creator ecosystem Roblox Cloud helps you scale

Data Stores Manager Full Launch (Late 2025): Improved UI and deletion in the Data Stores Manager.

Data Stores Extended Services Support (Late 2025): Ability to purchase additional Data Stores that we announced in early 2025, providing storage and access request calls above the default free platform limits.

Cube 3D Observability Dashboard and Extended Services Support (Late 2025): Observability dashboard for Cube 3D that lets you view, monitor, and view your consumption over time. Plus, Extended Services support allows you to purchase additional Cube 3D generation capacity beyond the default free platform limits.

Video Observability Dashboard and Extended Services Support (Late 2025): Observability dashboard for video usage that lets you view, monitor, and understand your video-minutes consumption over time. When you need more, Extended Services enable you to purchase additional video-minutes beyond the default free platform limits, perfect for high-quantity and long-form video use cases.

Text-to-Speech (TTS) Observability Dashboard and Extended Services Support (Late 2025): View, monitor, and understand your TTS requests called over time with Observability dashboards. Extended Services support enables ability to purchase additional request calls above the default free platform limits.

Accelerate creation through community-generated assets

Additional Creator Store Seller Analytics (Late 2025): Better insights into your asset sales with a more detailed Store analytics dashboard.

Grow and engage your audience Match your users to the best server

Experience Betas (Late 2025): Test new and updated experiences with a select group of users that you choose. Because beta experiences aren’t visible in search or on the homepage, they won’t impact your rankings or discoverability when you officially launch.

Creator Hub is your key to success Actionable insights to grow your experience

Real-time Performance Analytics (Late 2025): Compare crash rates and other metrics in real time between the latest version of an experience and previous versions.

Learn, connect, and create with one another

Read and Browse Full Documentation in Studio (Early 2026): Creator Hub documentation can be opened in Studio, so you can access reference, guides, and more while you build.

Delayed roadmap items Click here to view the delayed roadmap items

As always, we want to be transparent when items on our roadmap slip past their original date or are put on hold. We want to make sure we’re thoughtful in what we launch, hold ourselves to a high-quality standard, and constantly adjust our roadmaps to focus on the highest priority issues. When something slips, we may have pushed its launch date to meet our quality standards or we may have prioritized a more important and urgent feature.

Estimating completion dates of new features can be challenging, and we appreciate your patience as we make sure what we’re building is ready for prime time.

Collaborate more efficiently as a team Actionable insights to grow your experience FAQs Click here to view the FAQs Why did you launch something that wasn’t on the roadmap?

The Creator Roadmap is not a comprehensive list of everything Roblox is doing (it’s hard to summarize what 3000+ people are working on!). Some examples of reasons why products may not show up on the roadmap are:

User-facing products that require no action from creators

Products that require us to coordinate or integrate with third parties, for example, Meta Quest and 17+ experiences. This can result in uncertainty in our ship dates or we may not be able to communicate in advance until the other party is ready.

Products we’re holding to announce at RDC

Products we aren’t sure are going to be impactful or have enough funding to hit their dates

Why did a feature slip past its target date?

We do our best to forecast realistically, but sometimes features take longer to ship than anticipated or other features take precedence. As some of you may know, software scheduling estimation is an imprecise art.

Why is an item that was shipped no longer on the roadmap? Why is something on the Creator Roadmap site and not included in this DevForum post?

To keep this post short, we only include items on the roadmap that have changed; if they’ve been added, shipped, or delayed.
